As a general rule, Manheim Christian Day School will adhere to Manheim Central’s School closings. Late starts, early dismissals, and closings will be announced on WDAC- FM 94.5, WJTL- FM 90.3, and WGAL Channel 8. Also, you can view up-to-date announcements on
Students residing in a school district other than Manheim Central need to follow their local District’s decisions on closings, delays, etc.
This is usually not a problem with delayed openings in the morning, but can be cumbersome and unpredictable in the afternoon with early dismissals. We will personally attempt to inform all parents in the event of an unusual situation. A phone chain will be used to inform all carpooling persons.
If you car pool your student(s) to school, please fill out a car pool form (available in the office). From this form, a phone-chain will be developed for use in the event of an early dismissal. Please provide cell phone numbers if applicable.
In the event of a one hour delay, Pre-K will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a two hour delay Pre-K will begin at 10:00 a.m.
